Paw Pals Brian runs the London Marathon

Monday 24 April 2017

Brian Ainge - Paw Pals East Surrey

On 23rd April saw the annual London marathon took place and this year Paw Pals East Surrey branch owner Brian Ainge took part in his first London marathon.

Raising money for Guide Dogs Brian said “As well as helping adults regain their independence following sight loss, I’ve learned they also provide dogs for hundreds of children suffering sight loss. These ‘buddy’ dogs provide companionship and help counter depression, while developing a sense responsibility and self-esteem”

Brian also said “Running the London marathon was an amazing experience with my finish time of 5hrs 37m, hopefully next time I will improve on that time.

Brian has previously ran the Reigate Half Marathon three times after 40 training runs completed, and he now plans future runs such as the Bournemouth Marathon on Sunday October 8th, and once again he will be running for Guide Dogs.

MD of Paw Pals Susie Cooke said “I am so proud of Brian running his first London marathon and for such a great cause too and wish him well on his future runs too”  If you would like to donate to Brian’s London Marathon page please visit his Just Giving page
