Paw Pals Reading East welcomes work experience!

Monday 3 April 2017

Recently celebrating her first year in business, Paw Pals Reading East branch owner Ros Forrester welcomed a couple of new recruits in to her team for a three week work experience placement with her.

The students were both studying level 3 animal management at Berkshire College of Agriculture which is in Burchetts Green near Maidenhead.

Ros said “I was approached by the college initially to ask if I would be happy to take students and had to have a short interview with a placement officer. I then received requests from the 2 students to come and work with me."

First to undertake her work experience with Ros was Ceska Moat who is a year 1 student, followed a few weeks later by Rhea Morris, who is a year 2 student.

Ros also goes on to say, “The girls were a great help to me and seemed to enjoy helping with the animals and were very hands on. They were both able to see the consultation process and assist in some of the more mundane tasks (accounting etc!). I hope that I gave them a real insight into running your own business, I would definitely take on another student and would recommend for anyone to give it a try.”
