MD Susie to 'Trekfest' for Paw Pals Charity of the Year

Tuesday 19 May 2015

On Saturday 5th September 2015, Managing Director of Paw Pals, Susie Cooke, will be trekking 27 miles in just 12 hours across the Peak District to raise awareness and funds for the amazing charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

The charity was voted Paw Pal's charity of the year 2015 after a vote by the franchise network at their annual conference.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a national charity and centre of excellence in training dogs to alert deaf people to important sounds and danger signals in the home, work place and public buildings. These dogs change people's lives and become life-long companions to their deaf recipients.

Susie says "Such a worthwhile charity deserves a worthwhile fundraising event. I am not taking this 27 miles lightly, as I realise how 'hilly' the Peaks are! I will be training with my dogs from now until September to make sure I can complete the trek and not let any of my sponsors down!"
