Jackie and Phil Spence from Ingleby Barwick in Stockton-on-Tees were the first Paw Pals branch to open in the north of England offering professional pet sitting and dog walking service.

Their genuine and caring nature make them ideal Paw Pals and you are bound to be impressed by their enthusiasm to take the very best care of your pets.

The couple were married in 2007 on safari in South Africa, where the first seed was sown for them wanting to work closely with animals, albeit domestic ones and not elephants and lions!

Jackie and Phil have long been involved in animal rescue and have fostered many unwanted pets. Their current brood include Gibson and three cats, Tigger, Spider and Dino, all from the Cat Orphanage.

Jackie can sometimes be found showing dogs and cats, entering obedience and agility competitions, as well as fundraising for Saltburn Animal Rescue and doing home checks. She has recently been working towards the Kennel Club's Good Citizen Dog Scheme with her beloved dog Gibson, and together they have achieved the Gold Award!

Paw Pals Stockton also has a small animal hotel where your rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and mice can have holiday too in luxurious, cosy accommodation!

Jackie and Phil are CRB and police-checked respectively, they are fully insured and are both members of Pet Sitters International.

Paw Pals Stockton has also been granted a full licence for dog boarding from Stockton on Tees Borough Council following a thorough vet's inspection (a mandatory legal requirement for boarding pets).

Jackie is a very experienced pet carer and has achieved a Distinction in a professional pet sitting qualification from COAPE - the Centre of Applied Pet Ethology, covering pet first aid, nutrition, behaviour and pet care legislation.
