Home from Home Dog Boarding

About Paw Pals

Paw Pals began as a family run pet sitting business in 2005, established to offer an innovative alternative to dog kennels and cattery, or having to rely on neighbours or family for holiday pet care.

A bespoke service was created which allowed pet owners to go away on holiday or out to work, and relax, knowing their home is safe and their pet cared for in accordance with their exact wishes.

Due to the overwhelming success of the first Paw Pals branch the opportunity to franchise the business nationally was created.

Paw Pals Managing Director - Susanne Cooke

With branches across the UK, Paw Pals is now run by Managing Director Susanne Cooke, who originally started out a Paw Pal herself. She managed her successful Salisbury branch for 4 years before selling on to the current owner.

Now, with help from her dog Moe, Susanne runs the Paw Pals Franchise operation across the UK.

Only the most genuine, caring and professional people join the Paw Pals team and our franchise recruitment process is extremely thorough.

All of our dog walkers and pet sitters are police checked, fully insured and are pet first aid trained. Our Paw Pals are also registered with the Pet Industry Federation, a trade association promoting excellence across the pet care industry in the UK. They also undertake a professional Pet Sitting qualification, accredited by the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training.

In addition to this, our branches offering a doggy home boarding service are also officially licensed by their local authority. This includes an annual inspection as well as strict regulations that we adhere to, so you can have peace of mind that your pets are in the safest hands possible.

Dog Walking Service

Why choose Paw Pals?

  • We do not ‘pack’ walk dogs in groups - all our doggy clients receive our undivided attention and care for the duration of their time with us. Socialisation walkies can be organised by request if you would like your dog to have a buddy.
  • Free ‘meet and greet’ consultations - it is vital that the pet, owner and the pet sitter all meet prior to the booking to ensure the service is right for everyone and we place you under no obligation.
  • Peace of mind - we are fully insured, police-checked, pet first aid trained and members of the Pet Industry Federation.
  • Relax - enjoy your time away with the reassurance of regular updates on your pets – we can text, email, send photos or even Facebook you updates to let you know everything is fine.
  • Personalise pet care - Paw Pals will follow precisely your pet/s routine; they can be fed at their usual time, walked to their usual place and sleep in their usual comfortable bed.
  • No hidden charges – no registration fees, no additional insurance fees etc. We do not even charge extra for weekend visits. The price we quote is the price you pay.
  • All pets included – Paw Pals can look after all different kinds of pets you may have, so you won't need to find temporary homes for your small pets, such as fish, rabbits and birds. Nobody gets left out!
  • Flexible service - whether you need a daily dog walk or only use us one day a year, we value all of our clients and can cater for all kinds of requests.
  • Home security - having overnight stays or pet care visits in your own home can provide an ideal burglar deterrent; we can close/open curtains, switch on/off lights, put bins out etc. to make your home look ‘occupied’ whilst you're away.

What our Clients say

"Dylan the Bassett hound has been with Paw Pals since he first came home as a little pup and is now almost 4 years old. Paw Pals are like his second family and he loves going for his walks, I just wish he would be as excited when I take the lazy boy out!

Could not recommend Paw Pals more highly, we would be lost without them. Thanks for everything, you're amazing!"

Emma Edson - Dylan (Bassett Hound)

"You have been an absolute God send. Walking our 2 precious boxer dogs whilst we are at work has been a huge help and weight off our minds. We know they are in safe hands with you and your reliability and caring attitude towards Roxi and Vinnie is most comforting.

The word 'Caroline' gets the same responce as 'sausages' in our household; chaos and excitement! Very cute!"

Juliette & Adi - Roxy & Vinnie (Boxers)

"Just to say thanks for looking after the dogs. It made a great day even better knowing that the dogs were left with somebody who not only knew how to look after them, but also somebody who cared. From the moment you arrived, we could see you were at ease and so were the dogs. This made our day at the wedding complete, not having to worry about the dogs."

Mike Keen - Dug, Alfie, Ruby, Inca & Indie (Doberman, Jack x Dachs, pointer, Greyhound, GDS)
